QAQC Engineer (Lawas)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QAQC Engineer to join our project team for the Lawas New Airport Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure that construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct inspections and ensure construction works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), inspection requests and quality records.
• Coordinate material inspections, testing and quality verification.
• Monitor workmanship and construction activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Review method statements, material submissions and relevant quality documentation.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and project teams on quality-related matters.
• Maintain proper QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results and documentation.
• Assist in preparing quality reports and project handover documentation.

About you

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction.

• Good knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures and documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Willing to be based in Lawas, Sarawak.
