QA/QC Engineer / QA/QC Inspector

1. Job Responsibilities

2. Responsible for quality assurance and quality control activities for M&E installation works at the Data Center project site.

3. Conduct site inspections according to approved construction drawings, specifications, Method Statements, ITPs and project requirements.

4. Inspect materials, equipment and installation workmanship to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.

5. Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams regarding quality issues and corrective actions.

6. Prepare and follow up Inspection Requests (IR) and related inspection records.

7. Assist in handling NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), observations and punch list items.

8. Record site quality issues, follow up corrective actions and verify completion of rectification works.

9. Maintain and organize QA/QC documentation, including inspection records, checklists, test reports, material approvals and as-built documents.

10. Coordinate with the Project Manager, Engineers, Consultants and Client representatives during inspections and testing.

11. Attend quality meetings and report site quality issues and corrective actions.

12. Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, quality requirements and client standards.

13. Requirements

14. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Building Services, Civil Engineering or other related fields is preferred.

15. Minimum 1 year of experience in QA/QC or construction site work.

16. Experience in data centers, factories, commercial buildings or M&E installation projects is an advantage.

17. Able to read and understand basic construction drawings, equipment documents and technical specifications.

18. Basic understanding of M&E installation quality control procedures.

19. Familiar with basic QA/QC documents and procedures such as Inspection, Checklist, ITP, NCR and Punch List.

20. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

21. QA/QC-related certificates are not mandatory. Practical site experience is more important.

22. Basic English communication and reading skills, with the ability to understand English technical documents.

23. Responsible, detail-oriented and quality-conscious.

24. Willing to work on project sites in Malaysia and follow project requirements.

25. Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in Google or other major data center projects;

* Experience in M&E, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing or other building services installation;

* Experience with international project QA/QC procedures;

* Experience working in an English-speaking project environment;

* Previous experience with main contractors, subcontractors or M&E contractors.
