Job Description

• Conduct incoming inspections on raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies according to technical specifications and sampling plans.
• Investigate customer quality complaints and returned goods (RMA) using root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Respond to production line stoppage alerts and execute containment actions to prevent defective parts from reaching downstream processes.
• Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and conduct audits on supplier production processes.
• Prepare and standardize inspection datasheets, standard inspection procedures (SIP), and quality check sheets.
• Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and compute process capability indices (Cp, Cpk) for critical dimensions.
• Operate and maintain precision measuring equipment including Vernier calipers, micrometers, Smartscope, and CMM.
• Working Location: Port Klang (Kawasan Perindustrian MIEL)
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Friday until 6:00 PM); required to work 6-8 Saturdays per year.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or Quality Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in QA/QC functions within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T symbols.
• Hands-on proficiency in operating precision equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Smartscope, and CMM.
• Knowledge of quality tools including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Mandatory knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
• Proficient in both English and Malay to communicate with various stakeholders.

Compensation

• Probation period: 6 months
