QA/QC Inspector (2 Full-Time Positions Available)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA/QC Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring materials, fabrication and welding activities comply with project specifications, quality standards and inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, drawings and specifications.
• Witness and conduct Welding Procedure Qualification Tests (WPQT) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
• Monitor storage and handling of welding consumables, including electrode baking and drying processes according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Perform fit-up inspections and visual welding inspections.
• Coordinate and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities such as UT and MPI.
• Prepare and review inspection reports, welding inspection reports and NDE reports.
• Identify welding defects and raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Non-Conformities (NCs).
• Ensure inspection release notes and supporting documents are completed for client final acceptance.
• Assist QC Engineers in preparing and compiling Manufacturer Data Records (MDR).
• Follow up on inspection activities, punch list clearance and documentation maintenance.
• Support production and project teams across multiple projects as required.

Requirements :

• General Diploma or Polytechnic Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar QC inspection role for steel fabrication, welding and manufacturing.

• Ability to read and interpret assembly and fabrication drawings.

• Knowledge of welding inspection processes and quality control procedures. CSWIP 3.0 or an equivalent welding inspection certification is preferred.

• Familiar with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as UT and MPI.

• Experience in blasting and painting inspection.

• Understanding of material traceability requirements.

• Knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and inspection requirements.

• Familiarity with applicable quality standards, preferably: ISO 9001, ISO 5817, EN 1090-2.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

• Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
