QA/QC Inspector

Key Responsibilities

1. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

• Conduct hourly routine inspections on the production floor.
• Monitor bag thickness (micron), width, and length using appropriate measuring tools.

2. Functional Testing

• Perform manual and destructive testing on zipper track mechanisms.
• Ensure smooth opening and airtight locking performance.

3. Leak & Strength Testing

• Conduct inflation, drop, and underwater squeeze tests.
• Verify side-seal and bottom-seal strength to ensure product integrity.

4. Visual Inspection

• Inspect printed bags for cosmetic defects, including:

  • Ink smudging
  • Color variations
  • Barcode readability issues

5. Line Buy-Off

• Verify machine settings before production starts.
• Approve first-piece samples prior to mass production runs.

6. Defect Control

• Issue "On-Hold" or "Reject" tags for defective batches.
• Ensure defective products are immediately isolated from the packaging area.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Accurately complete daily quality inspection records and check sheets.
• Report recurring quality issues and defects to the QA Supervisor or QA Engineer.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum SPM, STPM, or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.

Experience

• 1–2 years of QA/QC experience in plastic manufacturing, flexible packaging, or injection molding is highly preferred.
• Fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

• Ability to use basic measuring equipment, including:

  • Micrometers
  • Digital calipers
  • Weighing scales

Work Schedule

• Willing to work on shifts (e.g., 12-hour rotating shifts or 8-hour morning and night shifts).

• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
