QAQC Lab Assistant (Gambang)

Qualifications:

1. Education: Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Applied Science, or a related field.
2. Core Knowledge: Strong foundation in laboratory procedures, chemical handling, and lab safety protocols.
3. Equipment Care: Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration and preventive maintenance procedures.
4. Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
5. Added Advantage: Direct familiarity with ISO 17025 implementation or documentation.
6. At least 1 year of working experience in a laboratory environment (fresh graduates may be considered)
7. Hands-on experience in chemical handling, titration, and basic physical testing
8. Exposure to automotive fluid testing, especially brake fluid, is an added advantage
9. Basic experience in preventive maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
10. Familiar with laboratory safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities:

1. Execute laboratory work and perform relevant testing
2. Assist the chemist in product development projects assigned with minimum supervision.
3. Assist the chemist with raw materials, chemicals and products inventory.
4. Assist the chemist with equipment calibration and maintenance.
5. Assist with waste management and housekeeping.
6. Strict adhere to company policies and in house rules.
7. To meet all quality management and SHE policies and regulations.
8. To meet all safety guidelines and zero tolerance to non-conformances.
9. To ensure that laboratory safety rules & practices are strictly adhered to at all times.
10. Ensure that laboratory equipment is cleaned, maintained, and calibrated accordingly.
11. Perform miscellaneous assignments as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
