QAQC Manager

About the role

This is a QA/QC Manager position within the construction industry, responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Quality Management Systems at project sites. The role involves developing and managing quality plans, inspection procedures, and documentation while coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure all work complies with approved specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and enforce the Quality Management System (QMS) at the project site in accordance with company policies, project requirements, approved specifications, applicable standards, and contractual obligations
• Develop, implement, and continuously monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), QA/QC Plan, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Inspection Procedures, and related quality documentation
• Ensure that all construction and installation activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, ITPs, applicable codes/standards, and client requirements
• Establish and manage inspection and testing processes for construction activities, including coordination of material inspections, site inspections, testing, commissioning-related quality requirements, and inspection requests
• Review and approve quality-related documentation submitted by subcontractors and ensure that all required inspections and tests are properly planned, conducted, recorded, and closed
• Lead and coordinate QA/QC inspection activities with Construction, Engineering, Project Management, Consultants, Client representatives, and Subcontractors
• Monitor the quality performance of subcontractors and ensure that their work complies with project quality requirements and approved procedures
• Manage and control Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observations, Deficiency Reports, and Punch List items, including identification of root causes and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct regular site quality audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and quality performance reviews to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
• Monitor and evaluate project quality KPIs, including NCR trends, inspection performance, defect/rework rates, punch list status, subcontractor quality performance, and timely closure of quality issues

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a QA/QC Manager or QA/QC Lead within the construction industry
• Extensive experience in managing and implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems throughout construction projects
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Inspection Requests (IR), and quality documentation
• Experienced in managing construction quality inspections, testing activities, material inspections, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements
• Strong experience in handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Site Observations, Deficiency Reports, Punch Lists, Corrective Actions, and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Able to identify potential quality risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures to minimize rework, defects, and project delays
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to prepare quality reports, documentation, and communicate effectively in project meetings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and develop QA/QC teams
