Construction Quality Lead

Our agency is looking for a Construction Quality Lead on behalf of a global American PMC for a hyperscale data center project in Chonburi, Thailand .

Our client is engaged as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project, supporting the delivery of a major hyperscale data center.

The Role

The Construction Quality Lead will lead the project’s construction quality management function, providing oversight of QA/QC activities across contractors and specialist subcontractors. The role will ensure that construction works, materials and installations comply with approved designs, specifications, standards and project quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and oversee the project QA/QC function across civil, structural, architectural, MEP and specialist construction works
• Establish and monitor project quality procedures, inspection processes and quality control requirements
• Review contractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and inspection procedures
• Oversee inspections, testing and verification of construction works, ensuring activities are completed in accordance with approved ITPs and project specifications
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor quality performance and ensure appropriate inspection and testing resources are in place
• Manage the identification, recording and closeout of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) , defects and quality observations
• Review material approvals, test certificates, inspection records and other quality documentation for compliance
• Coordinate quality interfaces between construction, engineering, commissioning and specialist contractors
• Monitor quality trends and recurring issues, supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Participate in technical inspections, factory inspections and other quality-related activities where required
• Ensure testing, commissioning and handover activities are supported by appropriate quality records and documentation
• Maintain visibility of outstanding quality issues and provide regular reporting to project leadership and the client
• Support final quality closeout, punch listing and compilation of project handover documentation

Requirements

• Strong QA/QC or construction quality experience within major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong English proficiency is essential , both written and spoken
• Strong understanding of construction quality management systems, ITPs, inspections, testing and NCR processes
• Experience managing QA/QC teams and overseeing main contractors and specialist subcontractors
• Familiarity with relevant construction standards, specifications and quality documentation
• Data center experience is an advantage, but not essential
• Comfortable working in a fully site-based environment in Chonburi
• Willing to work 5.5 days per week , with Saturday half-days typically on a rotational basis

• Work arrangement: Fully site based
• Working week: 5.5 days
• Contract: 1-year renewable contract
• Potential opportunity to convert to a permanent position after the first year, subject to project and business requirements
