QA/QC M&E Supervisor (Data Centre Project)

Key Responsibilities

• **Quality Assurance & Site Inspections:**Execute day-to-day M&E site inspections according to approved ITP, Method Statements (MOS), Project Quality Plans (PQP), and shop drawings.
• **Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Support:**Witness and document factory/site testing for critical plant and equipment, including Chilled Water Systems, CRAH/CRAC, Transformers, HT/LV Switchgears, UPS, Standby Generators, Fire Protection Systems, and BMS/EPMS. Support Cx Stage activities.
• **NCR Management & Defect Rectification:**Identify site non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) / Site Observation Reports (SOR) to subcontractors, track rectification work, and conduct re-inspections for timely close-out.
• **Material & Equipment Verification:**Verify Incoming Material Inspections against approved Material Inspection Requests (MIR), technical submittals, and factory test reports prior to installation.
• **Documentation & Audit Readiness:**Maintain structured QA/QC records, Request for Inspection (RFI) logs, testing records, and As-Built drawings in coordination with Consultant Clerks of Works (COW), Resident Engineers (RE), and Owner representatives.
• **Cross-functional Collaboration:**Liaise closely with site engineering teams, sub-contractors, and safety personnel to ensure installations progress smoothly without clash, rework, or quality deviations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of on-site QA/QC experience in Building Construction / Industrial Plants / Cleanroom / Advanced Facilities. Direct exposure to Data Centre or Mission-Critical facilities is a significant advantage.
• Technical Competence:
• Solid understanding of M&E systems (HVAC, MV/LV power distribution, ELV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Drainage).
• Familiarity with QA/QC workflows: RFI, MIR, ITP, MOS, and NCR closure.
• Basic proficiency in reviewing AutoCAD drawings, BIM models (Navisworks clash detection review is a plus).
• Certifications: Valid CIDB Green Card is mandatory.
• Soft Skills & Language:
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) to liaise with consultants and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to facilitate technical coordination with head office and internal engineering teams.
• Highly systematic, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-standard site environment.
