QA/QC Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and quality procedures.
• Conduct inspections of incoming materials, construction activities and completed works.
• Ensure all materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate inspections and testing activities with the Project Manager, site team, consultants, subcontractors and relevant authorities.
• Prepare and submit inspection requests, material approval documents, testing records and other QA/QC documentation.
• Monitor site activities and ensure proper quality control throughout the construction process.
• Identify, report and follow up on non-conformance issues.
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, material certificates, calibration certificates and quality documentation.
• Assist in internal and external quality audits, including follow-up actions arising from audit findings.
• Investigate quality-related complaints, defects and construction issues.
• Compile quality performance data and recommend improvements to project quality processes.
• Ensure proper document control and maintain updated QA/QC files for project submission and handover.
• Perform any other quality-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 year of relevant QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in sewerage, drainage, pipe-jacking and infrastructure will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with construction drawings, method statements, ITPs, material inspections and site quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO quality management practices and construction quality standards is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to maintain accurate documentation.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with the project team, consultants and subcontractors.
