QC Assistant

About the role

This role involves performing in-process quality inspections during production in a food manufacturing environment, monitoring GMP, hygiene, and food safety practices on the production floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality inspections during production
• Monitor GMP, hygiene, and food safety practices on the production floor
• Conduct basic quality checks such as temperature, weight, visual inspection, and packaging condition
• Verify raw material usage, product identification, and labelling accuracy
• Record inspection and monitoring results accurately
• Report any quality issues, abnormalities, or non-conformances to the superior
• Support product segregation, on-hold control, and release verification
• Assist with internal audits, GMP inspections, and corrective action follow-ups
• Ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation practices in the production area
• Support traceability, mock recall, and other food safety activities when required

About you

• Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent
• Able to communicate in basic English
• Able to read and follow simple work instructions
• Good discipline, responsibility, and attendance
• Willing to work on the production floor and follow shift schedules
• Willing to work in a production environment and carry out assigned duties.
• QC or food manufacturing experience is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of GMP, hygiene, or food safety is an added advantage
