QC ASSISTANT (INTERNSHIP)

About the role

Assist QC personnel in routine inspection and monitoring of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products and finished products. Assist in conducting quality checks and testing, including pH, Brix, salt, acidity, consistency, sensory evaluation and other applicable QC parameters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sampling and preparation of samples for internal and external laboratory testing
• Assist in monitoring production process and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with established quality and food safety requirements
• Perform routine product inspection, including packaging, coding, labelling, bottle/cap condition, leakage and other physical defects
• Maintain accurate QC records, inspection forms, testing results and production monitoring records
• Assist in environmental, hygiene and sanitation monitoring as required
• Assist in handling non-conforming products, deviations and corrective actions under the supervision of QC/QA personnel
• Support QC/QA team during internal, customer and certification audits
• Perform other QC-related duties assigned by the supervisor

About you

• Currently pursuing Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Safety, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field
• Basic knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP and quality control is an advantage
• Good observation, documentation and attention-to-detail skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
