QC Chemist

About the company/role:

• Major pharmaceutical company who manufacture personal care products
• Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
• Monday - Friday
• Candidates need to be flexible between day and afternoon shift
  • Day Shift hours: 7am - 3pm
  • Afternoon shift hours: 3pm - 11pm
• Permanent, full-time opportunity

Recent Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science graduates with demonstrated HPLC experience encouraged to apply!
Duties:

• Sampling of raw materials when required
• Routine analysis of raw materials using basic wet chemistry techniques and small instrumentation
• Test and release packaging materials and artwork
• Liaising with Warehouse personnel in regards to raw material deliveries
• Analysis of intermediates and finished products when fully trained

Skills & experience:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals or related discipline
• Previous internship experience in a GMP environment performing wet chemistry and analytical techniques required
• HPLC experience is ideal
• Excellent communication skills
• Good with time management and organisation
• Previous experience working afternoon/night shifts will be highly regarded
