QC Engineer

About the role

Kriangkrai Steel Center Co.,Ltd. is seeking a QC Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position is based in Samut Prakan and represents a critical role within our Mechanical Engineering operations. As QC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet our rigorous quality standards, supporting the company's commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining our reputation in the steel industry. Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quality inspections and testing of steel products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
• Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures and documentation systems to track product performance and process improvements
• Perform detailed analysis of product defects and failures, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Utilise quality assurance tools and equipment to measure and verify dimensional accuracy, material properties and surface finish of finished products
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements that enhance product quality whilst reducing waste and costs
• Prepare comprehensive quality reports and statistical data for management review and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on quality standards, testing procedures and best practices
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence
• Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results and corrective actions for traceability and compliance purposes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably within the steel, manufacturing or metal fabrication industry
• Proficiency in using quality control equipment and measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, hardness testers and ultrasonic testing devices
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, statistical process control (SPC) and quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues systematically and implement effective solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with quality management software or data management systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across production, engineering and management teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing to team objectives and demonstrating initiative in process improvement
• Preferred experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
