Q.C Engineer (Coil Coating)

Job Overview

​We are looking for a Coil Coating QC Engineer to manage the quality of our continuous color coating line. You will ensure that every coil meets precise specifications for color consistency, chemical resistance, and coating durability.

Key Responsibilities

• ​Chemical Pre-treatment Monitoring: Oversee the cleaning and conversion coating process (chromate or chrome-free) to ensure maximum paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.
• ​Color Management & Spectrophotometry: Utilize spectrophotometers to measure L*a*b* values, ensuring Delta E (\Delta E) stays within strict tolerances across different production batches.
• ​Performance Testing: Conduct specialized tests on cured samples
• ​Oven & Curing Optimization: Monitor Peak Metal Temperature (PMT) to ensure the coating is baked correctly without becoming brittle or discolored.
• ​Documentation: Maintain precise QC reports, COAs (Certificates of Analysis), and non-conformance reports (NCR) for all production batches.
• Compliance & Certification: Ensure all products comply with ASTM, EN, or ISO standards
• Defect Analysis: Identify root causes for common defects and implement corrective actions.

Candidate Requirements

​Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Chemistry.

​Experience: Proven experience in continuous coil coating, liquid paint application, or the industrial coatings industry.

​Technical Skills: Deep understanding of PVDF/FEVE/PE coating systems and ASTM/ECCA testing standards.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
