QC Engineer - Electrical

Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):

· Documentation Review TMBS (QMS): To effectively understand the TMBS Quality Management System (QMS) Procedure, familiarize yourself with its structure, terminology, and compliance requirements, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.

· Documentation Review: Ability to evaluate certification and documentation to verify authenticity, ensure compliance with specifications, and confirm alignment with drawings, procedure and inspection test plans.

· Project Understanding: Familiarize with the project specific scope, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and FAT/IFAT procedure.

· Technical & Project Support: Provide technical clarification to the project team to resolve quality concerns. Assist the Project Manager’s with technical guidance and compliance-related matters. Maintain alignment with customer expectations through proactive inspection coordination and documentation management. Attend and contribute to daily QC meetings with various customers to ensure ongoing quality compliance.

· Codes and standards: Adequate knowledge of international standards such as IEC, NEMA

· Ambient Condition Verification: Assess environmental conditions and record the data according to the project requirement to confirm suitability for storage, preservation, installation and testing.

· Material Handling and Storage: Ensure proper storage of materials in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, maintain full traceability and verifying the correct materials are utilized as specified in procedures and equipment manuals, with daily sign-off.

· Material Inspection: Conduct incoming inspections of customer-issued panels, adhering to defined requirements such as I-Auditor and other agreed applications to ensure compliance and quality assurance. For Technomak purchase material shall be inspected according to the PO, Drawing and relevant specifications. Any deviation should report immediately to the QC engineer and Store in charge.

· Inspection and Test Equipment Management: Verify that testing equipment is operational, within calibration periods, and that personnel are trained in its use. Verify the installation and calibration of instruments such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature sensors.

· Inspection Compliance: Conduct inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) to ensure adherence to quality standards as follows.

· Stage Inspection: Conduct inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

· Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and codes to ensure accurate implementation.

· Perform cable laying, crimping, termination, torquing, loop checks inspection and functional tests on electrical and instrumentation systems.

· Ensure safety compliance by monitoring hazardous area installations and adherence to regulations.

· Prepare and maintain inspection reports, documenting findings and non-conformities

· Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve technical issues.

· Conduct FAT/IFAT prior to pre-commissioning and commissioning inspections to validate system functionality before handover or IFAT/SAT.

· Reporting: Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly stage inspection, reports detailing the quality status of all activities in line with the project specific and their expected completion timelines.

· QC Documentation Preparation: Compile and review QC documents for submission to the client through the QC Engineer.W

· As-Built Documentation: Review and verify red-marked drawings and support preparation of final As-Built documentation.

· Progress Monitoring: Assess Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) job progress against project schedules and specifications, conducting daily surveillance inspections for crimping, termination, and torquing. Monitor ongoing work, identify deviations, and document findings to ensure adherence to established requirements.

· Inspection Requests: Facilitate the submission of Requests for Inspection (RFIs) to appropriate parties, ensuring inspections are conducted in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Identify any deviations from specifications and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to address discrepancies.

· Compliance Coordination: Collaborate with the Safety, Environment, and Certification Engineer to meet statutory and regulatory obligations.

· Corrective Action Management: Address and resolve client-raised concerns documented in the Corrective Action Report (CAR).

· Training and Education: Deliver structured guidance and training to Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) personnel on crimping, termination, and torquing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices for optimal performance and compliance.

· Continuous Improvement: Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

· Training & Mentoring: Support training of junior QC staff and share technical knowledge with the team.

· Safety Compliance: Ensure all inspections and activities are conducted in compliance with HSE standards and procedures.

· Client Interface: Act as a point of contact for client QA/QC representatives during inspections and audits.

· Support Commissioning: Assist commissioning teams by verifying readiness of systems and supporting final testing and energization.

Pay: ﷼3,500.00 - ﷼7,000.00 per month
