QC Inspector - Fireproofing - Project

SECTION I: Job Summary The QC Inspector - Fireproofing performs inspection and testing of passive fireproofing application activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works
• Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications
• Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP
• Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (thickness gauges) used on site
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards
• Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering
• NACE/coating inspection certification preferred
