QC Micro Analyst

About the role

This role involves laboratory testing and quality control work in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment, ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance through rigorous testing and monitoring protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Strictly adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety protocols, and "Clean as You Go" rules, including wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining the micro-sterile lab
• Sample raw materials and products to detect contaminants, perform sterility testing for market release, conduct growth promotion tests, and validate testing methods
• Prepare required culture media/reagents and monitor chemical inventory levels to request timely stock replenishments
• Implement environmental, water, and personnel monitoring programs to uphold hygiene standards across the plant facility
• Accurately log equipment usage and calibration, maintain analyst journals, and timely submit laboratory reports to the supervisor
• Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, proactively report regulatory non-compliance, and immediately escalate equipment breakdowns or potential problems
• Follow the QC Manual, participate in company audits/validations, and carry out additional tasks as assigned

About you

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or other related courses
• Licensed Chemist, Chemical technician and/or Registered Microbiologist
• At least 1 to 2 years laboratory experience
• Works systematically and has good attention to details
• Team player, results-oriented
• Amenable with a shifting schedule
