QC Technician (1 year contract)

About the role

SEA ASIA PACIFIC SDN. BHD. is seeking a QC Technician to join our quality assurance and control team on a full-time basis. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract position based in Simpang Ampat, Penang. As a QC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and quality checks throughout the production process to identify and prevent defects before products reach our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and quality tests on products at various stages of the manufacturing process
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of quality control findings and corrective actions
• Identify defects, non-conformities and deviations from quality standards, reporting findings to supervisors and relevant departments
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional tests using appropriate measuring instruments and equipment
• Prepare quality control reports and statistical data to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instruments
• Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Support the investigation of product failures and customer complaints related to quality issues
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards, procedures, and relevant regulations
• Participate in training and skill development programmes to enhance technical competency

What we're looking for

• Secondary school education or equivalent qualification; relevant diploma or certification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field is preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing inspection roles

• Solid understanding of quality management principles, standards and procedures

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with quality management systems or databases

• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
