QC Technician

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on QC Technician with experience in composite (GRE/GRVE) and thermoplastic piping systems to join our QA/QC team. You will be responsible for visual and dimensional inspections, monitoring jointing and hydrotesting, updating ISO drawings, and liaising directly with clients to ensure all work meets project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and Barcol hardness testing on Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) and Glass Reinforced Vinyl Ester (GRVE) piping
• Supervise bonding, fitting, and hydrotesting operations to ensure bonders and fitters strictly follow procedures and project specifications
• Verify that all QC tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices are calibrated and up to date
• Red-line and mark up Isometric (ISO) drawings according to site modifications and as-built adjustments
• Prepare inspection reports and coordinate with client representatives for sign-offs and approvals
• Assist the QC Engineer in compiling test packs and final handover documentation
• Travel outstation based on project requirements

About you

• Proven experience in GRE / GRVE piping quality inspection and testing
• Technical knowledge or experience working with thermoplastic materials (HDPE, PP, PVDF, PVC, CPVC)
• Proficiency in reading and red-lining piping Isometric (ISO) drawings
• Solid understanding of jointing, bonding, and hydrostatic pressure testing procedures
• Strong communication skills to liaise with client representatives and site supervisors
• High adaptability and readiness for outstation project assignments
