QC Technician (Entry Level) - (ID: 709603)

Responsibilities:

• Manage the receiving, labeling, preparation, and organization of raw material and finished goods samples for quality control checks and external laboratory testing.
• Track sample registration and testing priorities, and ensure timely follow-up on results.
• Conduct internal physical and surface checks on samples, documenting observations accurately for review.
• Perform sieve checks, powder mixing/dissolution checks, and visual inspections to identify any abnormalities.
• Collaborate with external laboratories for sample testing and follow up on pending results.
• Compile test results for sample release, ensuring records and trackers are maintained accurately.
• Adhere to company SOPs and comply with food safety management system standards and hygiene practices.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, equipment checks, and manage lab consumables responsibly.
• Assist in investigations, retesting, and sample comparison as required.

Requirements:

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years of practical experience in a quality control or laboratory setting within food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or related environments.
• Candidates with a relevant scientific background and a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, GMP, hygiene, or FSSC 22000 is advantageous.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain meticulous records.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Must be willing to engage in hands-on laboratory work and effectively communicate with internal teams.
