QC/QA Analyst - Scentsmith Perfumery Inc.

POSITION: QC/QA Analyst

REPORTING TO: R&D Manager

DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs Quality Analysis on the following, but not limited to:

a. Raw Materials

b. Packaging Materials

c. Bulk/Finished Products

1. Documentations

a. Reports results of the analysis conducted.

b. Maintain and controls quality records, SOPs, and compliance logs in accordance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) requirements.

c. Ensure document control, record accuracy, and audit readiness at all times.

d. Support CAPA investigation related to product quality issues and process deviations.

e. Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations

1. In-Process Inspection

a. Ensure all equipment and tools are clean before starting production

b. Check the Raw Material physical appearance, item code, and weight are correct

c. Check the Packing Materials are correct

d. To set and ensure product content

1. Raw Material Pre-qualifications

a. Analyze and evaluate new alternative/replacement raw materials

b. Compound, analyze and evaluate products using the new raw materials

1. Maintenance

a. Ensure all equipment and apparatus are properly maintained.

b. Maintains cleanliness of designated working area.

1. Security

a. Ensures that the Batch Manufacturing Reports are secure and kept safe with limited access and distribution to authorized personnel only

b. Inventory of laboratory assets.

1. Other Functions:

a. Investigate product complaints

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Technicial, or any science-related course is required
• An associate degree or certification in a science or quality-related field is an advantage
• 1-2 year experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within cosmetics or FMCG industry is preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, product testing procedures, batch record review, and inspection protocols is a plus
• Knowledge of FDA and the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) is an advantage
