QC/QA Chemist

The Rich Daddy International is a cosmetic contract manufacturing company specializing in Third-Party Manufacturing, Private Label, OEM and ODM solutions for skin care, hair care, body care, personal care, sun care and professional hair-treatment products.

We are looking for a QC/QA Executive who can support our quality-control and quality-assurance activities across raw materials, packaging materials, manufacturing processes and finished cosmetic products.

Job ResponsibilitiesQuality Control (QC)

• Conduct testing and inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging materials as per defined specifications.
• Perform physical, chemical and organoleptic testing of cosmetic raw materials and finished products.
• Check parameters such as appearance, colour, odour, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, foam characteristics and other applicable product specifications.
• Perform in-process quality checks during manufacturing and filling/packing operations.
• Inspect finished products before batch release.
• Maintain proper records of raw material testing, in-process testing and finished-product analysis.
• Collect and maintain retention samples of raw materials and finished products.
• Identify deviations, quality issues and out-of-specification results and report them to the concerned department.
• Coordinate with Production and R&D teams for investigation and resolution of quality-related issues.
• Ensure that products meet established specifications before dispatch.

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Review and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
• Verify manufacturing and packing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining SOPs, specifications, test methods, formats and quality records.
• Support implementation of quality procedures throughout manufacturing operations.
• Monitor hygiene and good manufacturing practices within production and quality areas.
• Assist in investigation of deviations, customer complaints and quality-related non-conformities.
• Support CAPA activities and follow-up.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of batches.
• Assist during internal, customer and regulatory inspections/audits.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Warehouse and other departments to maintain consistent product quality.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and finished-product testing.
• Knowledge of cosmetic formulation and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with pH meter, Brookfield viscometer and other basic QC laboratory instruments.
• Good understanding of laboratory practices, sampling and documentation.
• Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, BMR/BPR, deviation, CAPA and OOS handling.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Educational Qualification

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.

Candidates with relevant experience in cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing will be preferred.

Experience

1–4 years of experience in QC/QA, preferably in a cosmetic or personal care manufacturing environment.

Freshers with relevant educational background and strong technical knowledge may also be considered for a junior position.

Pay: ₹9,700.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
