QESH Executive

About the role

This role involves ensuring compliance with all environmental, health and safety (ESH) regulations and keeping abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. You will lead the safety team to ensure a safe and healthy working environment, liaise with relevant authorities, and develop internal ESH policies and strategies.

Key responsibilities:

General

• Liaising with relevant authorities.

• Writing reports, bulletins, and newsletters.

• Write internal ESH policies/strategies.

• Making presentations to groups of employees/managers.

• Provide ESH meetings and training courses for employees.

• Compiling statistics.

Safety & health

• Lead the safety team to ensure a safe and health working environment.

• Ensure safe working environment at the site.

• To promote a healthy and safe working attitude among the workers.

• To identify, analyse, evaluate and rectify the impact and hazards on the people and the environment.

• To educate workers on industry best practices.

• Planning and conducting of emergency evacuation drills on a regular basis and implementing audit checkpoints aiding facilities.

• Monitoring local exhaust system, occupational and general safety program to ensure safe environment and comply with OSHA requirement.

• Prepared summary of safety and health activities at the beginning of the following month.

• Conduct Safety Induction for new workers prior to entering sites.

• Continuously improving to ensure sustained compliance to OSH law in company.

• Liaise with DOSH other related agencies to arrange for renewal of registered equipment and to close any observations and findings.

• Accident and incident management, complaints, and cases of ill health.

• Drawing up safe operational practices and making necessary changes

• Any other task assigned by the head or superior or management from time to time.

• Lead investigation all violations and incidents/accidents; recommends preventive programs at the site level.
