As QESH Officer at Van den Bosch, you will be the driving force behind awareness and the embedding of Health, Safety & Environment within the organization. You translate policy, business objectives, and laws and regulations into safe and workable practice. With your practical approach and powers of persuasion, you help take the safety culture to the next level and ensure that HSE is not only documented on paper, but visibly followed every day.

In this role, you develop, advise on, and implement QESH policy in line with Van den Bosch’s strategic direction. You inspire colleagues to proactively promote this policy and encourage the transition toward desired and safe behavior. You are visible within the organization, address people where necessary, and make safety a shared responsibility.

You identify risks and unsafe behavior, make concrete improvement proposals, and also carry out improvements yourself. In addition, you monitor relevant laws and regulations and translate them into operations. You guide and conduct internal and external audits, including risk inventories and evaluations and workplace inspections. In the event of actual or potential incidents, you conduct thorough investigations, prepare clear reports, and monitor the follow-up of actions.

In this position, you report to the CFO and work closely with your fellow QESH Manager and other colleagues from various internal departments, as well as with European and international teams. In this way, you make a direct contribution to a safe, healthy, and future-oriented working environment within Van den Bosch.

Your profile

• You have completed at least a higher professional education degree in Integrated Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable field of study;
• Relevant work experience in a logistics or industrial environment;
• Experience with QESH improvement projects and achieving demonstrable impact;
• A practical, clear, and firm working style, with the confidence to address people directly;
• Solution-oriented, change-oriented, and strong in collaboration;
• Good command of both Dutch and English.
