Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate QMAP to join our team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration, resident care, and ensuring safety during overnight hours. Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately following physician orders, including oral, topical, and other forms of medication.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status during overnight shifts.
• Assist residents with personal care needs such as mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
• Document all medication administration and resident interactions clearly in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and protect resident confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is essential.
• Certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) or similar state certification required; must meet State Board of Nursing standards.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed.
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of care.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with state healthcare laws.
