QMS & Special Process Engineer

Job summary

Responsible for maintaining and improving AS9100 QMS and supporting Nadcap / aerospace special process compliance. The role covers internal and customer audits, process control, qualification/validation, nonconformity investigation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on aerospace Quality / Special Process Engineer who understands both the QMS and the actual manufacturing process.

The candidate should not be limited to document control or ISO auditing. He/she should be able to go to the production floor, understand the actual process, review process parameters and records, identify potential risks, investigate nonconformities, and communicate effectively with Production and Engineering.

Experience with aerospace surface treatment processes such as anodizing, chemical conversion coating, passivation, plating, cleaning, and related chemical processes would be a significant advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve QMS in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Support Nadcap readiness, special process control, qualification and validation.
• Conduct internal/process audits and follow up corrective actions.
• Investigate nonconformities and support RCA, 8D and CAPA.
• Support customer, AS9100 and Nadcap audits.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, QC and Laboratory to ensure process compliance.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

·        3–5 years of experience in Quality, QMS, Manufacturing, or Special Process Engineering.

·        Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing is required.

·        Good knowledge of AS9100 and internal auditing.

·        Hands-on experience with special processes is required.

·        Nadcap experience is highly preferred.

·        Good command of written and spoken English.
