QMS / Management Systems (MS) Officer

Company overview:

Our client is a leading Thai manufacturer and exporter of processed pineapple and tropical fruit products. The company specializes in the production of canned pineapple, pineapple juice concentrate, pineapple juice, and canned tropical fruit cocktail for customers worldwide.

Job Purpose

Support the effective implementation, administration, and continuous enhancement of the factory's Integrated Management Systems, including BRC, IFS, HACCP, GMP, Halal, WCS, GSV, CTPAT, and other relevant certifications. Ensure plant operations remain compliant with legal requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations while driving a culture of quality and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Develop and execute internal audit programs across all functional areas, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate certification and surveillance audits conducted by external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
• Track, analyze, and report Management System performance indicators, objectives, targets, and improvement initiatives.
• Organize Management Review Meetings, document meeting outcomes, and monitor completion of agreed action plans.
• Facilitate risk assessments and identify opportunities for improvement in accordance with quality management principles and standards.
• Monitor applicable legal and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Deliver training and awareness programs related to quality systems, food safety, environmental practices, and operational compliance.
• Support customer and supplier audits and maintain documentation associated with complaints, investigations, and 8D corrective action reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Food Science, or a related discipline. Environmental Science or Safety qualifications are advantageous.
• Good command of both spoken and written Thai and English.
• Lead Auditor certification in Quality Management Systems is preferred.
• Professional qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent certifications, would be an advantage.

Experience

• 2 to 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Compliance, or Management Systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting and participating in internal, customer, and third-party certification audits.
• Familiarity with internationally recognized food safety and quality standards is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and compliance standards, including BRC, IFS, HACCP, GMP, Halal, WCS, GSV, and CTPAT.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities using tools such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and 8D methodologies.
• Strong documentation, technical writing, and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with QMS software is beneficial.
• Effective communication, presentation, and training skills with the ability to engage employees across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
