QS ENGINEER

About the role

JRBuilders Company Inc. is seeking a skilled QS (Quantity Surveying) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a full-time QS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier agreements to optimise costs
• Providing financial advice and recommendations to project managers and senior leadership
• Preparing and presenting progress reports, cost analyses, and financial forecasts
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, budgets, and company policies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and engineers

What we're looking for

• A License Civil Engineer
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a QS Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
• Proven track record of successful cost management and financial control on construction projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in using construction cost estimation software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
• Familiarity with local construction regulations, standards, and practices
