QS Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QS (Quality Systems) Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs aligned with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949:2016, and ISO 9001.
• Conduct statistical data analysis using tools like Minitab to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for defect resolution and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform supplier evaluations, manage vendor quality assurance activities, and oversee supplier management practices to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Support manufacturing processes through process engineering initiatives including Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma projects, and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
• Review engineering data and documentation such as GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and engineering change notices.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory/legal standards relevant to production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality control activities, defect analysis, process improvements, and quality management system audits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on quality assurance within manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards including AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001, GMP, FDA regulations, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Hands-on experience with statistical tools such as Minitab for data analysis and process control.
• Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis techniques and defect resolution strategies.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and engineering data analysis methods.
• Experience managing supplier quality assurance programs and conducting vendor audits.
• Project management skills with a track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing settings.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with sourcing experience is highly desirable.
