What you'll be doing?
- Lead commercial functions: Guide the commercial, cost, and contract-management for construction projects.
- Establish budgets: Oversee project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance: Keep a close eye on project expenditure and financial risks, recommending actions as needed.
- Manage tendering and contracts: Handle tender documentation, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration.
- Develop the QS team: Lead, guide, and develop your team to ensure excellence in quantity surveying.
Who are they looking for?
- Degree in Quantity Surveying: A relevant degree is essential for this role.
- Commercial experience: Proven management experience in commercial or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Cost and contract knowledge: Strong understanding of cost control, tendering, and contract administration.
- Negotiation skills: Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills are crucial.
- Language proficiency: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
