Position: Quantity Surveyor – Procurement & Estimation

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reports to: General Manager / Management

Job Purpose

To manage quantity surveying, estimation and procurement activities, ensuring projects are accurately priced, materials are purchased at competitive rates, and project costs are properly monitored.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Tendering

* Review drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents.

* Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

* Obtain and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.

* Prepare tender submissions and commercial comparisons.

* Identify project costs, exclusions, variations and potential risks.

* Support the team in preparing competitive and accurate quotations.

Procurement

* Prepare material and procurement requirements based on project needs.

* Obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.

* Compare prices, quality, lead times and payment terms.

* Prepare purchase recommendations and follow up on LPOs and deliveries.

* Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are available as required.

Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

* Monitor project costs against approved budgets and BOQs.

* Prepare and track variations, additional works and claims.

* Review supplier and subcontractor invoices against approved quantities and LPOs.

* Maintain cost and procurement records.

* Support project teams with commercial and cost-related matters.

* Assist with project final accounts and cost reconciliation.

Requirements

* Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.

* 3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience preferred.

* Experience in interior fit-out, joinery or construction is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of estimation, quantity take-off and procurement.

* Good knowledge of UAE suppliers, subcontractors and material pricing.

* Good Excel and estimating skills; experience with AutoCAD and ERP/Odoo is an advantage.

* Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

* Able to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
