Qualified Builder & 3rd/4th Year Apprentice

Tom Cooney Construction is looking for a qualified builder and a 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our hardworking, family-oriented crew.

We tackle all types of building, with a busy schedule of new builds, sheds and renovations ahead. You’ll get variety, plenty of hands-on experience and the satisfaction of building something you’re proud to put your name to.

We’re hunters, gatherers and fans of a good yarn. We can tolerate an exaggerated fishing story—but measurements need to be accurate.

We enjoy a laugh, but quality workmanship is mandatory. We build it right the first time.

You’re a qualified builder or a 3rd/4th year apprentice who:

• Is reliable, motivated and takes pride in their workmanship.
• Works well with others and communicates clearly.
• Treats clients, teammates and the job site with respect.
• Takes health and safety seriously.
• Checks their work and asks questions when unsure.

For the qualified builder: You can work confidently from plans, think ahead and help set a good example for the apprentices.

For the apprentice: You’ve got a solid grounding, are keen to keep learning and are ready to take more responsibility as your skills develop.

You don’t need to hunt or fish to fit in—but you may need to listen to a few stories about the one that got away.
