Meatsmith currently operates 4 retail stores as well as a Production department. We're continuing to grow, and looking for a 2IC Butcher to join our Fitzroy team and help run the flagship store.

The candidate we are looking for will have a strong butchery knowledge, an eye for quality and strong customer service skills. Working in the Butchery team, you will be responsibilities will include , Customer Service, Product preparation, Body Breakdown, Preparing and cutting orders, managing production schedules within required timeframes, maintaining quality control systems, communication with other departments, and more.

An excellent salary is available for the right candidate, with room for future growth.

About Meatsmith:

We have a focus on traditional butchery paired with modern techniques, seasonality, and showcasing specialty breeds. You'll have the opportunity to work with Australia's best producers and ingredients.

We have an in house kitchen producing restaurant-quality meals, sauces & condiments, as well as a smokehouse producing a range of smallgoods, pates & terrines. In addition to this, our dry-age coolroom sees a rotating range of cuts from different breeds of beef, sold in-store as well as to some of Melbourne's best restaurants.
