Qualified Carpenter

About the role

Ritchie Logistics is seeking a Qualified Carpenter for a permanent full-time role building Pepperberry PODs. Based at our Rokeby warehouse, with customer-site and project work as directed, you will work with the Assembly Team and Operations & Logistics Coordinator to produce accurately assembled, carefully finished PODs.

Key responsibilities

• Read drawings, specifications and assembly instructions; measure, cut and assemble POD components accurately.
• Carry out carpentry, fit-out and finishing work to the approved design and your trade competence.
• Check dimensions, fit and finish throughout assembly; identify defects early and complete authorised rectification.
• Support testing and final inspections within your competence, record quality checks and provide clear handovers.
• Inspect and care for tools and materials, follow safe power-tool and isolation procedures, and keep the work area organised.
• Coordinate with other trades and the team; report hazards, damage or changed requirements before proceeding.

About you

• A recognised carpentry trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Practical carpentry and finishing experience, with confidence interpreting drawings and working to accurate measurements.
• Competence using hand and power tools safely and checking assembly quality against specifications.
• Reliable attendance, pride in your work and the ability to work independently within your authorisation and as part of a team.
• Australian work rights.
• Experience in modular buildings, PODs or similar assembly work is highly regarded.
