Qualified Carpenter / General Builder

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Carpenter / General Builder to join our building team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across a variety of building projects, from residential to commercial sites. Your expertise in carpentry and general building tasks will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain structures using various materials and techniques, ensuring precision and durability.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing woodwork or other materials.
• Perform roofing tasks including installation, repairs, and maintenance to ensure weather-tight structures.
• Assist with masonry work and construction as needed to support multidisciplinary projects.
• Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to health and safety regulations to prevent injury.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Experience

• Proven experience as a qualified carpenter or general builder
• Skilled in assembly and the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry and construction is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety compliance.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction sites.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• You must able to use your initiative.

You will need to hold a full driving licence. Company van available.

Competitive hourly rate, dependant on experience.
