Qualified Carpenter (Permanent Full-Time)

Location:  Melbourne Metro / Geelong / Regional VIC
Work Type: Full-Time, 36+ hours per week
Salary/Rate: $62.21 per hour + Super + Allowances

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join our team. This role involves a combination of commercial and residential carpentry work including manufacturing joinery, cabinets, foyers as well as installation of hoardings, cladding and architraves etc. We are based in New Gisborne but have projects around Melbourne Metro and Geelong areas.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Perform all aspects of carpentry from framing to lock-up and fix.
• Read and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with Victorian building regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
• Liaise with clients, site managers, and subcontractors in a professional manner.
• Mentor apprentices

Duties

• Exposure to diverse commercial carpentry projects

• Timber & steel framing

• Internal and external wall claddings

• Manufacture and install of various types of doors & windows

• Heritage restoration works

• Undertake defect work to fix existing fittings

What You Need to Succeed (Requirements)

• Trade Certificate/Qualified Carpenter: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven experience in Residential/Commercial/Maintenance work.
• Licencing: Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Tools: Comprehensive hand/power tools.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Must have drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle
• Must have valid working rights in Australia.
• Must have a Working with children Check
