Qualified Dental Nurse

Key responsibilities & duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, qualified dental nurse who has experience in compliance and IPC audits.

The ideal candidate will be confident using SOE Exact software.

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Hours: 24.5 per week

Monday 0815-1730 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Tuesday 0815-1730 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Wednesday 0815-1715 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

And 5.75 hours to be worked on either a Thursday or Friday

Key responsibilities & duties

• Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
• Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned
• Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session
• Escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery, confirming the medical history and bringing any changes to the attention of the dentist
• Provide clinical assistance under the supervision of the dentist
• Continually evaluate the needs of patients and specialist and deal with them promptly and efficiently
• Assist in the completion of patient records
• Monitor and maintain stock levels as necessary and take charge of ordering materials for the practice when levels run low
• Follow all practice policies and procedures and patient confidentiality
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the dental and reception team
• Comply with all GDC and CQC requirements

Academic or trade qualifications

• GDC Registered – Essential
• Dental nursing Diploma or equivalent

Work experience and skills

• Minimum 1-year Dental Nursing
• ·Experience using SOE
