What they need
BE PART OF SOMETHING WONDERFUL!
WE'RE OPENING A BRAND-NEW NURSERY SCHOOL!
Acre Wood Nursery School is growing — and we want YOU to grow with us!
✨ Exciting opportunities for Early Years Practitioners ✨
Are you passionate about giving children the very best start in life? Do you believe that childhood should be filled with curiosity, discovery, laughter and meaningful learning?
Would you love to be part of a brand-new nursery school, helping to shape its environment, build a fantastic team and create a place where every child feels safe, valued and inspired?
Then we would love to hear from you!
Join us on an exciting new journey
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Early Years Practitioners to join our team as we prepare to open our brand-new nursery school.
This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a setting from the very beginning — helping to establish positive routines, create inspiring learning environments and build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
At Acre Wood, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to Learn, Grow and Belong.
What will you bring to our nursery?
We are looking for practitioners who:
- Have a genuine passion for working with babies and young children.
- Understand how children learn and develop through play, exploration and positive relationships.
- Are enthusiastic about delivering high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Can plan and support engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture children's curiosity and independence.
- Understand the importance of the key-person approach, children's emotional well-being and strong partnerships with parents and carers.
- Are committed to equality, inclusion and ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
- Are reflective, motivated and eager to learn, develop and contribute to a growing team.
- Bring warmth, patience, reliability, creativity and a positive attitude to their work.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility
The safety and well-being of our children will always come first.
Every member of our team must be committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, following our safeguarding policies and procedures, recognising and reporting concerns promptly, maintaining professional boundaries and understanding their responsibilities in protecting children from harm.
Successful applicants will be expected to meet the relevant safer-recruitment requirements, including appropriate references, identity and qualification checks, and enhanced DBS and children's barred-list checks where applicable, alongside other checks required for the role.
We are looking for people who understand that safeguarding is not simply a policy — it is part of everything we do, every day.
What can we offer you?
- The exciting opportunity to help establish a brand-new nursery school.
- The chance to contribute ideas and help shape our learning environments and daily practice.
- A supportive team culture built on respect, teamwork and shared values.
- Opportunities for professional development, training and continued learning.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children and families.
- A workplace where children's voices, well-being and individual needs are at the heart of our decisions.
Could you be the person we're looking for?
Whether you are an experienced Early Years Practitioner or a newly qualified practitioner ready to begin your career, we would love to hear from you, provided you meet the requirements of the position.
If you are caring, motivated and excited by the opportunity to help create something truly special, this could be the perfect next step for you.
Come and help us build a nursery where little minds flourish, big discoveries happen and every child belongs.
Ready to take the next step?
