Duties

• Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to clients experiencing mental health or behavioral emergencies
• Deliver addiction counseling and behavioral health support tailored to individual needs
• Assist clients with resource identification within social services, including Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing, and child welfare programs
• Conduct client communication through motivational interviewing and case management to promote positive outcomes
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or volunteers while maintaining compliance with social work standards
• Coordinate with community agencies to facilitate workforce development and social service access
• Support working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and culturally diverse communities through tailored interventions and outreach efforts

Requirements

• Proven experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or social work fields
• Knowledge of addiction counseling, crisis management techniques, and social service resources
• Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with CPR is highly valued
• Strong working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing programs, and child welfare systems
• Bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse populations effectively
• Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or in childcare settings is advantageous
• Excellent writing skills for documentation and client reports; strong client communication skills essential
• Supervising experience or mentoring skills are a plus; ability to work independently and as part of a team
