Quality & Document Control Specialist

Clarity is seeking a Quality and Document Control Specialist to support the development of field-based training programs for unconventional well operators and mechanics. This role is responsible for ensuring all project documentation meets established quality, formatting, version control, and documentation standards. The specialist will review, edit, and manage technical documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, completeness, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal consultant combines hands-on upstream oil and gas operations experience with strong technical writing and document control expertise, along with exceptional attention to detail.

As a member of the Technical Training project team, the Quality and Document Control Specialist will remain actively engaged in project activities and maintain awareness of project risks, issues, decisions, actions, and change requests (RIDAC). Success in this role requires a meticulous approach, ensuring every document adheres to established standards, remains error-free, and is accurately maintained through all revisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and mark up technical documents to identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and formatting issues, ensuring alignment with related documentation and established quality standards.
• Administer and support the management of change (MOC) process.
• Assist the Project Manager in maintaining the RIDAC log within Smartsheet.
• Manage document revisions, version control, and change audits as required.
• Ensure all project documentation is current, accurate, and compliant with project standards.
• Maintain consistency across a large volume of documents while meeting project deadlines.

Requirements:

• Senior-level QA/QC experience, preferably within technical training environments.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or a closely related field is required.
• Strong technical writing and editing skills.
• Proven document control and version management experience.
• Experience supporting management of change (MOC) processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of documentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; experience with macros is preferred.
• Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.
• Adaptable and able to respond quickly to evolving project requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and third-party stakeholders.
• Ability to work exclusively on a PC throughout the duration of the project is required.

Hours: Hours will fluctuate from week to week depending on the workload

The pay rate for this is $55.00 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
