Quality & Environmental Manager

Job Summary:

We are expanding and looking for an experienced Quality & Environmental Manager to lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of our Quality and Environmental Management Systems across our growing Wind & Civil division. This is a 50-hour working week position.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape best-practice systems from the ground up while supporting some of New Zealand's most significant infrastructure, renewable energy and civil construction projects. You'll play a critical role in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification while embedding quality and environmental excellence into everyday operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the implementation and continual improvement of our Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
• Prepare the business for certification audits, including gap analysis, internal auditing and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain quality and environmental policies, procedures, registers and document control systems.
• Create project-specific Quality Plans, ITPs and Environmental Management Plans.
• Conduct audits, inspections, non-conformance management and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams, engineers, supervisors and senior management.
• Deliver training and promote a culture of quality, compliance and environmental responsibility.
• Monitor performance, compliance and emerging legislative or industry requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a Quality, Environmental, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), or Management Systems role within civil construction, infrastructure, engineering, renewable energy, or wind energy sectors
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
• Experience preparing organisations for certification audits.
• Internal auditing experience and strong corrective action management skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Quality, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction, Science or a related discipline.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and documentation management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
