Quality & Reliability Engineer (MQE)

The Junior/Senior Quality & Reliability Engineer (MQE) role plays a key part in maintaining product and manufacturing quality within an electronic component manufacturing environment. Based onsite at Gateway Industrial in Chachoengsao, the position leads quality investigations, supports product and process qualification, and drives continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer complaint investigations and drive issue resolution using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and other quality tools
• Identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain FMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and APQP documentation
• Conduct internal quality audits and manufacturing process audits
• Support product and process qualification, validation, capability studies, and MSA activities
• Review non-conforming products and coordinate corrective actions with production teams
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects
• Conduct quality training and awareness programmes for manufacturing personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of quality engineering experience for the junior level, or 5 to 10 years for the senior level, within automotive or electronics manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, and root cause analysis
• Experience with connector products, plastic injection, or automated assembly processes
• Good command of English
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly preferred
• Knowledge of SAP, Minitab, Power BI, or Tableau would be advantageous
• Chinese language skills would be an advantage
