Quality & Safety Manager

Schutz Container Systems is a global packaging/manufacturing company located in North Branch NJ, that is currently in need of an experienced Quality/Safety Manager for our Steel plant.

Job Duties:

This position is responsible for the quality and safety programs at the plant.

• Conducting informal on-the-job training as well as classroom trainings with employees
• Maintain the training matrix
• ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood and carried out
• participating in and preparing for internal and external audits
• preparing reports, records, and other required documents and paperwork
• investigating and responding to customer complaints and accidents.
• other duties as assigned
• Must have at least 2 years of related QA/QC, safety, and experience in a high-producing/high-quality manufacturing environment. Plastics manufacturing experience a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety procedures.
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills (Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups.)
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
