Quality Assistant

Position Overview

The Quality Assistant is responsible for performing routine analysis and inspection of raw material, WIP and finished goods according to standard operating procedures and QC related to programs. To assist senior staff in trouble shooting and investigate root cause for internal non-conformance as well as customer complaints and monitor the compliance of pre-requisite program especially GMP and sanitation programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Executive in the implementation and compliance of the FSSC 22000 system, HACCP, and other customer audit requirements.
• Monitor PRP- Pest Control Program; by ensure the records are update and proper filing. Conduct internal pest control inspection and assist third party contractor services (Gourmessa and Primabaguz Warehouse,Pulau Indah).
• Conduct inspection and record for receiving of raw materials and loading of finished goods.
• Perform product on hold processes and tagging of on hold pallet according to the standard procedure on any material which do not meet specifications.
• Assist Quality Executive to provide support on investigating issues, customer complaints and non-conformities. Follow up and ensure actions are taken sufficiently and timely.
• Prepare draft of product label for new products. Ensure the product label complies with the local, exporting countries regulations (if applicable) and any additional requirements from customers.
• Prepare slides and questions for training related to GMP, CCP, Labelling, and Food Safety
• Ensure quality and inspection records, Quality Assistant forms are maintained properly and retrievable.
• Undertake additional assignment and task as assigned by the Quality Executive**.**

Requirements/Experiences

• Diploma in Food Science/ Food Technology or related field.
• Experience working in the food industry or manufacturing will be added advantage.
• Candidate must be willing to work on a shift basis.
