Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

• Report to Head of Quality Assurance to ensure that the processes of the Inspection are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with AS9100 standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
• Enhance the Quality system control method to increase process capability and stability ensuring product meets delivery schedule and the highest quality standard in a consistent way.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and/or quality assurance, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development, verification and manufacture of products using Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP), using PPAP and other required methods.
• Continuous Improvement on, and with, Statistical Process Control techniques.
• Process monitoring using appropriate quality tools, i.e. SPC, MSA, Cp, Cpk, Gage R&R.
• Perform design review activities including inspect ability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop, collect and manage data and metrics using data visualization tools to report and provide information with recommendations for product/process improvements and reduce cost of poor quality.
• Support Zero Defect strategy and support the implementation of actions.
• Support in responding to customer quality issue through problem solving tools(8D, Fishbones, Is-Is not, 5 Why and etc.).
• Perform product quality and quality management system reviews to assure compliance with drawings, work instructions and internal ISO9001/AS9100 requirements, regulatory requirements and customer quality management systems.
• Analyze product and process failures to ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions internally for consistent quality output.
• Understand risk and risk management as an essential part of the quality engineering work scope
• Quality on the Material Review Board (MRB) and Engineering Change Actions Responsible for participating in continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system.
• Prepare standardized work procedures (QCS) and facilitate effective communication of procedures to affected areas.
• Support internal and external audits.

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• New graduated or 3 years of Experience in Quality Control/ Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance.
• Knowing or familiar with APQP, PPAP concept.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking
• Strong problem-solving skills (be able to ‘think out of the box’) as well as decision making.
• Be able to interpret drawing and specification.
• Excellent capabilities in Quality System tools.
• Moderate understanding of GD&T
• Able to read and interpret basic blueprints/change documents and specifications.
• Positive attitude to support company policies and must be able to maintain a high-morale environment.
• Good English, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Well-organized, with a systematic approach to completing tasks.
• ProficientinExcel,Word,and Power point.
• Able to work at AMATA City Rayong.
