This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a thorough understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to identify potential issues before they impact customers, particularly within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements and technical specifications.

- Identify, document, track and report software defects, inconsistencies and performance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Software Developers, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and establish quality standards.
- Conduct API testing to validate endpoints, integrations, data accuracy and system responses.
- Perform automated testing where applicable, developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Validate application functionality, user interfaces, workflows and business logic to ensure they meet defined requirements.

- Conduct cross-browser, cross-device and compatibility testing to ensure consistent application performance.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, daily stand-ups and release discussions to incorporate quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Verify bug fixes, perform regression testing and ensure resolved issues do not introduce new defects.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), release validation and post-deployment quality monitoring.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, including test cases, test results, defect reports and quality assurance records.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage and overall software quality.
- Monitor application performance and collaborate with Engineering teams to investigate recurring defects and reliability concerns.
- Ensure software products adhere to internal quality standards, security requirements and applicable fintech compliance expectations.
- Stay updated on emerging QA tools, testing methodologies, automation frameworks and software quality best practices.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, software testing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, test planning and defect management.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar applications.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or equivalent is an advantage.
- Understanding of web and mobile application testing, databases, SQL and basic programming concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycles.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting and reporting defects.
