Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance & Support Expert to strengthen quality management within a major organization.

The assignment focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive Quality Management framework covering high-voltage equipment, supplier quality assurance, manufacturing, factory testing, site installation and technical documentation.

The selected consultant will collaborate closely with technical experts, suppliers, project teams and internal stakeholders to improve quality processes, governance, operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management Framework

• Develop and implement a structured Quality Management framework, including processes, tools, guidelines and governance.
• Analyze and map quality requirements across technical and operational departments.
• Define clear implementation timelines, milestones, roles and responsibilities.
• Coordinate framework implementation with internal stakeholders and relevant external partners.
• Establish effective communication, reporting and continuous improvement practices.

External Quality Assurance and Supplier Management

• Participate in supplier factory audits and evaluate Quality Management Systems.
• Develop, maintain and implement Quality Control Plans for high-voltage equipment installation.
• Coordinate factory inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Monitor supplier quality performance throughout manufacturing, testing and installation.
• Develop supplier quality dashboards using qualitative assessments and quantitative KPIs.
• Coordinate external inspectors and follow up on inspection activities.
• Manage technical non-conformities, corrective action plans and lessons learned through Return of Experience (REX).

Internal Quality Assurance and Process Improvement

• Define, map, document and improve internal quality management processes.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities and interfaces between departments.
• Improve the organization, accessibility, transparency and traceability of technical documentation.
• Support document management, publishing, archiving and information governance.
• Facilitate document exchange platforms with suppliers.
• Create process documentation using flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, PACI tables, SIPOC models and BPMN.
• Monitor internal quality KPIs and prepare performance reports.

Quality Governance and Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with technical experts, procurement teams, project managers, maintenance departments and external suppliers.
• Support the qualification and ongoing quality evaluation of equipment manufacturers.
• Coordinate quality-related activities across manufacturing, testing and installation.
• Promote continuous improvement, process standardization and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Technical Background

• Technical or engineering education or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Experience in supplier quality management, supplier follow-up or factory quality processes.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment or primary electrical systems, such as transformers, switchgear, insulated cables and overhead lines.
• Experience mapping, documenting and improving business or technical processes.

Quality Assurance and Process Expertise

• Ability to develop and implement quality management processes, procedures and guidelines.
• Understanding of supplier audits, inspection processes, quality reporting and non-conformity management.
• Familiarity with quality dashboards, performance indicators and continuous improvement.
• Experience creating structured process documentation and maintaining technical information.

Tools and Methodologies

• Document management and collaboration tools, particularly SharePoint or equivalent platforms.
• Process mapping techniques, including flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, SIPOC, PACI and BPMN.
• Quality reporting, KPI monitoring and supplier performance evaluation tools.
• Ability to work effectively with technical documentation, procedures and templates.

Language Requirements

• English: Good written and spoken proficiency is mandatory for technical documentation, supplier communication and internal coordination.
• Dutch and/or French: Strongly preferred for collaboration with local stakeholders.
