Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure they meet functional, technical, and quality requirements. The role involves manual and automated testing, defect management, API and database testing, and close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable releases.

Key Responsibilities

● Execute manual and automated tests across web and mobile applications.

● Review requirements, user stories, APIs, system workflows, and technical designs to identify risks, edge cases, and gaps in test coverage.

● Create and execute test cases, and develop automated tests for web and mobile applications.

● Identify, document, track, and manage defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and supporting technical details.

● Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to investigate issues, validate fixes, and support quality releases.

● Perform API testing, database validation, performance testing with K6, and basic security testing where required.

● Stay up to date with QA methodologies, automation tools, and industry best practices to improve testing efficiency.

● Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements

● Good understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

● Minimum of 3 years experience testing web, mobile, and backend applications.

● Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.

● Hands-on experience with Appium, Java, and TestNG for mobile test automation.

● Ability to analyse technical requirements, user stories, and system workflows.

● Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.

● Good understanding of software development and release processes.

● Basic knowledge of CI/CD processes is an advantage.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Good communication and collaboration skills.

● Attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
