Job Description: QA Engineer – Web Applications

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in manual testing, API testing, and test automation, with a strong ability to identify bugs and prevent production issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Understand requirements and create test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

* Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.

* Test web applications across browsers and different screen sizes.

* Validate forms, APIs, authentication, user permissions, and end-to-end workflows.

* Perform API testing using Postman, including error handling and negative scenarios.

* Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

* Identify, document, track, and verify bugs using tools such as Jira.

* Perform basic database validation using SQL.

* Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality releases.

* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Required Skills

* 2–5 years of experience in QA testing for web applications.

* Strong knowledge of manual testing and test case design.

* Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.

* Experience with at least one automation framework: Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

* Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON.

* Familiarity with browser DevTools and debugging network requests.

* Basic SQL knowledge and experience with bug-tracking tools.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

* Experience testing React, Angular, or other modern web applications.

* Knowledge of performance testing and web security fundamentals.

* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

* Experience testing complex workflows, dashboards, and role-based access.
